 Book on Patiala's heroes released

PATIALA: A book, "Patiala Virasat de Rang", which has chapters on the life of 53 eminent personalities of Patiala, including writers, social workers, sportspersons, artists and politicians, was released today at Punjabi University here. The book, which is authored by Ujjagar Singh, who retired as Public Relation Officer of Punjab government, was released by Punjabi University VC Dr Jaspal Singh.

Ujjagar Singh said the purpose to write this book was to bring to fore those personalities, whose connection with Patiala was little known. "Interesting fact is that of the total 53 personalities, chapters on whom are dedicated in the book, 44 are not alive today. My purpose of writing the book was not to appease anybody but to produce a reference document for the scholar studying about Patiala and its personalities", the writer said.
